About Our Unit
Thank you for trusting us with your or your loved one’s care. The goal of our Adult Intensive Care Unit is to provide excellent, patient-centered care with teamwork and compassion.
Our multidisciplinary team includes physicians, registered nurses, administrative care partners, respiratory and physical therapists, clinical social workers, nutritionists, pharmacists and case managers who collaborate with families to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Patient and family-centered care is our priority. At the beginning of every shift, your current and incoming nurses will exchange information at your bedside. We do this so you can participate in your plan of care, but ask that you hold any questions until they are finished.
Visitation Guidelines
- To enter our ICU, use the phones located near the double doors. Staff will check with the assigned nurse before permitting access. Our goal is to maintain patient privacy and provide a calm and healing environment. Please always call to announce yourself before entering the unit. We appreciate your understanding.
- No more than four visitors are allowed at the bedside at any time. We may need to further limit the number of bedside visitors, depending on the patient's condition and privacy needs.
- To protect them from possible infection risks, children under age 18 are allowed to visit only with a supervising parent or adult and may not be left unattended. For their safety, children under 13 may visit only with approval from our Unit Director or Nursing Supervisor.
- Be aware that we cannot accommodate requests to change the timing of tests or procedures because they are determined and scheduled by each patient's medical needs.
- Due to space constraints, we are unable to accommodate overnight visitors.
