The Ocular Inflammatory Disease Center provides clinical services to patients with the following problems:
- uveitis,
- corneal ulcers,
- endophthalmitis,
- autoimmune disorders of the ocular surface (including ocular cicatricial pemphigoid, Mooren's ulcers, scleritis),
- ophthalmic manifestations of AIDS (including CMV retinitis).
Services are provided by members of the cornea-external ocular disease, retina, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, and pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus divisions as needed. Diagnostic evaluations, medical and/or surgical therapies, laboratory evaluations, and appropriate referrals to physicians in other specialties (infectious diseases, rheumatology, immunology) are available through the center.
Coordination of all services is performed by center personnel.
