The Ophthalmic Oncology Center of the Jules Stein Eye Institute specializes in the evaluation and treatment of ocular tumors. It is one of 44 centers in North America participating in the Collaborative Ocular Melanoma Study (COMS), a multidisciplinary trial comparing treatment modalities for choroidal melanoma, including radioactive plaque. The center evaluates patients with a wide variety of ocular lesions and offers comprehensive services to the oncology patient.
