The program is also used as a transition from care in NPH's inpatient units. Returning home from the program every afternoon, each person has the opportunity to practice new skills and then come back to the program to problem-solve common situations with staff therapists.
The interdisciplinary faculty and staff of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and nurses provide a variety of group-based treatment approaches including cognitive-behavioral skills training, coping skills, stress management, and interpersonal relationship skills.
