Gastrointestinal/Genitourinary Radiology provides the full array of gastrointestinal & genitourinary radiology procedures on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Digestive tract investigations include esophagrams, upper gastrointestinal studies, small bowel series, enteroclysis and barium enemas, as well as CT (including helical CT) and MR scanning for the diagnosis of abdominal diseases.
Radiologists also perform hysterosalpingographies, and radiographic investigation of the biliary tree. Interventional procedures in this section include biopsies and fluid drainages using CT, MR, or ultrasound guidance. A wide variety of interventional procedures related to the urinary tract system, including percutaneous stone extraction as part of the genito urinary practice.
