The Department of NeurosurgeryPeripheral Nerve Program |
The UCLA Peripheral Nerve Program provides and coordinates a full range of services for the evaluation and surgical care of individuals suffering from peripheral nerve pathology. Typical clinical problems for referral include, thoracic outlet syndrome, piriformis syndrome, schwannomas and neurofibromas, brachial plexus injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and ulnar or peroneal nerve compression.
The medical team emphasizes early referral of patients with severe nerve injuries so those critical periods for surgical re-innervation are not missed due to delay in evaluation.
