The Department of Medicine |
The Department of Medicine Professional Group (DMPG) provides comprehensive consultation and care in general internal medicine as well as all medical specialties and subspecialties. Patients seen for specialty consultation are evaluated, treated and referred back to their physician in private practice. The General Internal Medicine Practice provides ongoing management of patients who desire continuing care.
All patients referred to the department for consultation are evaluated medically in the appropriate specialty division. Information is rapidly transmitted back to the referring physician. Our policy is to work collaboratively with the referring physician in understanding and serving the medical needs of patients in the best possible way.
