The Jules Stein Eye Institute, the Doris Stein Eye Research Center, and the Department of Ophthalmology constitute a comprehensive center dedicated to the preservation of vision and prevention of blindness through patient care, research, and education.
Clinical services include:
- the Faculty Consultation Service,
- University Ophthalmology Associates,
- Ophthalmology Treatment Centers,
- Ophthalmology Clinical Laboratories,
- inpatient and outpatient surgery, and
- inpatient services.
Specialized consultation and treatment of major eye diseases and specific ophthalmic conditions is available in the Ophthalmology Treatment Centers, which are as follows:

Construction Alert!
From April 2, 2012 until November 2012, the Jules Stein parking lot (JS lot) will be closed and the Stein Plaza drop-off area near the Wasserman Building construction site will be inaccessible.
Jules/Doris Stein patients should avoid Stein Plaza, and proceed instead to the designated parking/drop-off area on the upper level of the CHS parking structure, near the intersection of Le Conte Avenue and Tiverton Drive (click here for maps and updates).
