MORE INFORMATION
Additional Information

Dr. David E. Fish is part of the UCLA Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation program in Pain Medicine, which taught a multi-disciplinary approach to pain problems.

He currently works in the UCLA Comprehensive Spine Center with surgeons in the evaluation of acute and chronic pain syndromes related to the spine to determine treatment options. After earning his medical degree and masters in public health from New York Medical College, Dr. Fish completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Johns Hopkins University Program in Baltimore, Maryland. During his residency, he was a Chief Resident and learned how to develop a process for addressing functional deficits that impact an individual's activities of daily life and vocation.

Dr. Fish utilizes interventional spine procedures not only to help diagnose spinal disorders, but also to determine a treatment plan. During fellowship, Dr. Fish was trained in the implantation of Intrathecal Baclofen pumps, vertebroplasty, IDET, nucleoplasty, and spinal cord stimulators, which he is performing at UCLA.

Dr. Fish is also trained in Electrodiagnostic medicine (EMG and NCS), which helps establish peripheral nerve pathology.
