Additional Information

Daniel Z. Uslan, MD. Director, Antimicrobial Stewardship Program for the UCLA Health System and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine. He has a longstanding interest in antibiotic utilization, benchmarking, and optimization. Dr. Uslan directs the antibiotic oversight program for the UCLA Health System. His research is on antibiotic use, medical device infections including pacemaker infections, and epidemiology of infections. Dr. Uslan's clinical interests include bloodstream infections, surgical infections, endocarditis and other cardiovascular infections, and neurological infections.

Dr. Uslan received his medical degree from University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He also earned an M.S. in Biotechnology from Northwestern University. Dr. Uslan completed his internship, residency, and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has numerous presentations and publications to his credit.
