Student Volunteer Program

Student VolunteersThe Volunteer Services Student Program works to make your volunteering experience a valuable asset towards your career goals. Our various rotating positions offer opportunities for students to explore various health-care related options.

Once you are accepted into the program, you may choose to either begin your volunteer rotation in our floater department or patient escort department. Once you have completed 50 hours in the selected deparment, you may then rotate to another approved department to complete your 100 hour commitment.

What is the time commitment?

A minimum of 100 hours, volunteering four hours a week. Volunteers will design a schedule that best fits his or her availability.

Do you already have a pre-arranged department?

Any students who has a pre-arranged assignment in another area with a UCLA supervisor must enter through our pre-assigned program.  This will entail providing a job description from your supervisor and attending a pre-assigned orientation - not a general student orientation.
