Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine Group
The Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine Group provides an interdisciplinary diagnostic and treatment service for patients with complex head, neck, temporomandibular, and orofacial pain. Among the faculty, special orofacial pain interests are myofascial pain, tension and mixed headaches, facial migraine and neuralgias, neuropathic pain, toothaches of non-dental origin, temporomandibular joint disorders and arthritis, bite disturbance problems, oral motor disorders (bruxism, dystonia, dydkinesia), obstructive sleep apnea, and snoring.

The orofacial pain faculty are diplomates of the American Board of Orofacial Pain. Oral medicine interests include ulceration and lesions of the tongue, throat, and mucous membranes; oral manifestations of fungal, viral, and bacterial infections; oral dysesthesias (burning mouth and tongue), hyposalivation disorders (dry mouth), and halitosis.
