The center treats patients with complex and uncertain symptoms resulting from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Multidisciplinary practitioners collaborate through the center to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with severe heartburn. Once a definitive diagnosis is determined by evaluating data from tests including esophageal manometry, 24-hour pH monitoring, endoscopy, and full cardiac evaluation, the appropriate medical or sugical therapy is recommended.
