This lab employs special techniques related to visual and somatosensory pathways, intraoperative monitoring, inpatient and outpatient audiometry for evaluation of hearing in high-risk newborns, and cortical evoked potential mapping. Intraoperative monitoring supports surgical procedures for neurosurgery and orthopaedic surgery.
When ordering, please specify one or more of the following:
Visual EPs (VEP),
Brainstem auditory EPs (BAEP),
BAEP for infant hearing,
Somatosensory EPs (SEP),
Upper extremity,
Lower extremity.
For BAEP and SEP, please have the ordering physician authorize sedation.
