The Colorectal Surgery Service offers the latest in specialized care for patients with diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. New and exciting cutting edge innovation in colorectal surgery are implemented to deliver state of the art care of these patients. Our specially trained Colon and Rectal Surgeons have an active interest in the areas of Anorectal Disorders, Colorectal Cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and Pelvic Floor Disorders.
A full compliment of Medical and Surgical Specialists and Anesthesiologists and Pain Care Specialists are available around the clock to ensure delivery of the highest standard of care. The latest technological advances in imaging, including PET scanning, MRI , and helical CT are available in our specialized GI Radiology Imagin Center. Digital Endoscopy and Minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures, as well as transrectal, transanal and endoscopic ultrasound are readily available and extensively utilized.

- Ileal-pouch anal anastomosis-Alternative to ileostomy in ulcerative colitis, for Familial Adenomatous Polyposis Sphincter (continence) preserving surgery for Rectal Cancer,
- Minimally invasive (laparoscopic) colon surgery,
- Anal sphincter reconstruction for incontinence due to sphincter injury,
- Non-operative alternatives for Anorectal Diseases - topical (nitroglycerin) and injection (Botox) treatment of anal fissure, fibrin glue treatment of rectal fistulas, injection sclerosis, infrared coagulation, rubber-band ligation of hemorrhoids and biofeedback for defecatory disorders,
- Inflammatory bowel disease treatment - Crohn's disease,
- Ulcerative colitis,
- Defecatory disorders - Rectal prolapse, rectocele, enterocele, pelvic relaxation, perineal hernia.
