The Pfleger Liver Institute at UCLA offers medical and surgical services for all types of hepatobiliary disorders. The Institute provides comprehensive multi-disciplinary services in hepatobiliary surgery; transplant surgery, pediatric and adult hepatology, oncology, radiation oncology, and radiology.
Diagnostic, consultative and therapeutic services provided included transplantation of the liver for end-stage liver disease and cancer, transplantation of the pancreas for diabetes mellitus, and surgical and medical treatment options for all forms of liver diseases including primary and metastatic liver tumors, chronic liver disease, viral hepatitis, congenital liver diseases, biliary tract abnormalities, and portal hypertension.
Our multidisciplinary team includes specialists in hepatology, radiology (interventional and diagnostic), and pathology. Our surgical team includes surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses who specialize in liver operations and perioperative care. This team also staffs the Dumont-UCLA Liver Transplant Center, the largest liver transplant center in the world, as well as the Dumont-UCLA Liver Cancer Center.
