Under the auspices of UCLA's Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, and in close collaboration with the Neuropsychiatric Research Institute, members of the Neuropsychiatric & Behavioral Health Services (NPBHS) practice group provide patient care through various outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization programs for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Highly trained clinicians evaluate each patient, and develop and implement an individually designed treatment plan using all available forms of appropriate medical and psychosocial treatments.
Through Neuropsychiatric & Behavioral Health Services, the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry are available to perform outpatient assessments and provide ongoing care for children and adolescents, adults, and elderly patients with psychiatric illness. The clinics of NPBHS operate Monday through Friday, and appointments can be scheduled with individual faculty of NPBHS. In addition, the consultation and evaluation service is staffed to provide assistance to physicians and patients who require psychiatric emergency services, including hospitalization.
Hospital services are provided in collaboration with the award-winning Stewart & Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA, which is an integral part of the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center at the Westwood Campus.
