Peter Schulam, M.D., Ph.D. Chief of the Division of Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Associate Professor of Urology and Co-Director of the Center for Advanced Surgical and Interventional Technology (CASIT). He has a longstanding clinical interest in minimally invasive surgery and laparscopic techniques. This includes developing novel biological sensors, instruments, and surgical techniques to be employed in minimally invasive surgery, as well as the effects minimally invasive surgery has on a patient's immunological status and quality of life.
Dr. Schulam received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also earned a Ph.D. in Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Schulam served as General Surgical Intern and Junior-Assistant Resident at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology and has numerous presentations and publications to his credit.
