BIO

Dr. Chang received his MD from the University of Minnesota and completed a dual residency in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics at Tulane University. In New Orleans, he worked at the Charity and University hospitals, the Veteran Affairs Hospital, Tulane Medical Center, and the Ochsner Clinic Foundation. He joined the UCLA CARE Clinic as an HIV fellow in 2005 and joined the faculty in 2006. His concentration is HIV primary and preventative care in adults and adolescents.

In addition to his HIV work, he is the Associate Program Director of the UCLA Combined Internal Medicine & Pediatric Residency Program and supervises the residents at Venice Family Clinic in primary care. He has also been involved with the UCLA Med-Peds Transition Care Consult Service.

His Santa Monica office is devoted to the primary care of children, adolescents and adults. Acute and urgent medical concerns are addressed, but the focus of his practice is wellness, nutrition, preventative health care, fitness and management of chronic medical conditions. Further, he is a provider for the GLBT community.

After volunteering with the Clinton Foundation as an HIV mentor in rural Rwanda, he continues to work supporting the clinics with a recent solar power panel installation and starting an HIV-exposed infant nutrition program. His other interests include the Hollywood Bowl, hiking, skiing, cooking, baking, power yoga, and travel.
