Dr. Hart is on the faculty of the David Geffen School of Medicine and has a special interest in gastrointestinal pathology. After his general pathology training and a cytology fellowship at UCLA, he completed the Klaus Lewin GI and liver pathology fellowship at UCLA. Currently he lectures to medical students, teaches pathology residents, and does gastrointestinal pathology educational lectures in the community. Dr. Hart’s research interests involve the practical aspects of pathology and he is currently involved in investigations in the use of digital pathology on endoscopic biopsies from the GI tract. In addition to his clinical appointments at UCLA in Westwood, he is also on staff and co-medical director of the pathology lab at the Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital.
