Partnership for Care Funds Compassionate Programs

UCLA Medical Center strives to ensure that patients and their families can count on treatment that is not only cutting-edge, but also supportive and compassionate.

Our Partnership for Care donors help us achieve this goal and compensate for cuts in funding by providing support for such important programs as the following ones listed.

 • Child Development/Child Life to assist children and their families in coping with illness and hospital stays

• Pastoral Care to help people draw on their spiritual resources in the midst of healthcare crises

• Social Work Services to provide a social worker in the Children’s Health Center and help make sure one is available in the Emergency Center on a 24-hour basis

• People Animal Connection to make available an animal-assisted therapy program that arranges visits with specially trained pets for patients who request them

• Tiverton House to offer convenient, affordable housing for patients and their families during prolonged hospital stays

• “Children of the Night” (under the Division of Family Medicine) to provide lab tests and other services for runaway children and adolescents

• Subsidized Patient Care to assist in cases of great financial need All gifts, large and small, to Partnership for Care make a difference and are very much appreciated. For more information about Partnership for Care or other giving opportunities, call (310) 206-0500.
