High Marks for UCLA Kidney Transplant Program
UCLA’s kidney-transplant program has achieved the highest three-year graft survival rate in the country among programs that perform more than 80 kidney transplants per year — 91.68 percent — according to the Scientific Registry for Transplant Recipients, which monitors national transplant data for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. “This reflects the professionalism and dedication of every member of the UCLA transplant program and the superb teamwork that is required to achieve excellent long-term outcomes for our long-suffering kidney patients,” says Gabriel Danovitch, M.D., co-director of the UCLA Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program.
