UCLA Hospitals / Parking and Campus Directory
Parking is limited near Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital, especially during our rebuilding project. Consequently, we are providing these parking instructions to help simplify your visits to The BirthPlace. Please read these instructions and refer to the campus map.
When Attending Classes
Visitor self-parking is available for $5 on weekdays, beginning at 6:30 p.m., or all day on weekends. Stop at the Security Desk inside our main entrance at 1225 15th St. or our secondary entrance on Arizona Ave. to purchase an access ticket for our hospital parking structure at 1311 16th St. (the main Security desk is open 24 hours; the secondary Security desk is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily). Security will provide further instructions.
If you opt for street parking, please carefully read the street signs. The meters are in effect every day, except Sundays, until 6 p.m. Some streets near the hospital are designated for permit parking only.
Making Outpatient Visits
Convenient valet parking is available outside our main entrance at 1225 15th St. The service is available weekdays, from 4:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Visitor parking also is available in the privately owned garages at 1245 16th St. and 1260 15th St. Rates and hours of operation are posted as you enter the garages and available from the attendants. Please note that our Security staff has no after-hours access to the 1260 15th St. building. Consequently, once it closes, you cannot retrieve your car until it reopens.
Expectant moms who drive themselves to non-stress testing (NST) outpatient appointments can valet park at a reduced rate. Stop at Valet Parking for instructions.

You will be required to leave photo identification. The pass and hangtag are good for a 24-hour period in the parking structure. After 24 hours, you must pay the fee again.
3) Park your vehicle in the subterranean garage at 1245 16th St. Park on levels P-3 or P-4. Please observe signs and do not park in any spaces marked for Valet Parking.
