Intern Resources 2012-2012

Welcome!

Important Information:

  • Intern Survival Guide (Updated 6.20.12)
  • Shadow Day Checklists: CNEO, CSW, UCLA
  • Elective Scheduling Information This link is a list of all the offered electives and their contact information. To sign-up for an elective, please contact the person listed under the desired elective here.
    • Some electives are quite popular and fill up quickly so we advise you to start contacting divisions as soon as possible once you are aware of your elective dates in your block schedule. Some electives have certain requirements that must be met in order to take that elective. These are also listed under each elective.
    • All residents will need to complete a total of 7 months of subspecialty training, which is accomplished largely by electives. In order to preserve your Big E as a 3rd year, we recommend only doing electives which will count towards meeting your subspecialty requirements. Addition information is noted in the above attachment. Please contact us with any questions. This information will be reviewed during orientation and with your advisors, as well.
    • Once you have secured an elective, please e-mail Cherie Lewis indicating what elective you will be on, what location (UCLA, cedars, etc) and what block. (Questions? cherielewis@mednet.ucla.edu)
  • USMLE Step 3 Scheduling information (Questions? scarson@mednet.ucla.edu)
  • Academic Expense Money Information (Questions? cherielewis@mednet.ucla.edu)
