James A. Cook, MD

Dr. James Addison Cook is a family medicine/sports medicine physician who practices in Goleta. He is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine. He has a passion treating patients of all ages with a focus in musculoskeletal diseases.

Dr. Cook grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and completed his medical degree at Howard University in Washington, DC. Prior to his medical degree, he received a Masters of Science in Strength and Conditioning from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. After completing medical school he received rigorous training in family medicine at the University of California Riverside family medicine program. Finally, in 2023, he completed a one year fellowship in Sports Medicine, which gave him extensive training in musculoskeletal diseases in all ages.

Dr. Cook is an avid sports fan and when he is not providing coverage for sporting events, he can be found either working out or cheering on his favorite teams. Dr. Cook can also be found at local festivals learning more about the culture in Southern and Costal California.
