Support PAC
How You Can Make a Difference
The UCLA People-Animal Connection (PAC) program has grown from a single-pet therapy team in 1994 to more than 60 volunteer human and canine teams, which makes UCLA one of the most comprehensive Animal-Assisted Therapy programs in the nation.
PAC teams make more than 700 patient visits per month, seeing more than 8,500 critically ill children and adult patients as well as countless visiting families and friends. PAC dogs instinctively bond with patients of all ages, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and their visits help enhance physical healing and emotional well-being.
"My daughter woke up from her coma just after you and Apollo left the room. This is a miracle!" -Mother of 10-year-old coma patient.
The Gift of Comfort
Donations to PAC support the program's overall operations, which include educational and training courses, cameras and film (each patient who is visited receives a photograph with their pet-therapist), veterinary testing, and various materials for the volunteer teams.
Give now and become part of a worldwide family of UCLA donors, helping to heal humankind, one patient at a time.

UCLA People-Animal Connection (PAC) was the beneficiary of Healthy Spot's July "Round Up Program"
Commitment to community has always been a part of the Healthy Spot model. When the first store opened, the "Round Up Program" was created to benefit local animal charities. Clients are asked to "round up" their change to the nearest dollar with the difference being donated to the non-profit of the month. Since Healthy Spot first opened its door four years ago, more than $50,000 has been raised for charitable organizations! http://www.healthyspotonline.com/
