Dr. Rauz Eshraghi attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated with Honors and earned a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. She earned her medical degree from Chicago Medical School and then completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is currently a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the UCLA School of Medicine.

Dr. Eshraghi's clinical interests include preventative care and wellness. Dr. Eshraghi is also particularly interested in global health issues and is a member of 'Health for Humanity', a non-profit public health organization which provides healthcare to developing countries. More »


Sonya Heitmann, MD

Dr. Sonya Heitmann attended the University of California, Irvine where she earned a bachelor's degree in Biology.  She then received her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.  She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Davis.  After completing residency she worked as a primary care physician for Kaiser in Sacramento.  She also enjoys teaching and became a Clinical Assistant Professor for Drexel University.  She is now a Clinical Instructor at the UCLA School of Medicine.  Her clinical interests include preventative care and diabetes. Dr. Giselle Namazie has an ongoing interest in preventative health and patient education. Born in UCLA to two UCLA grads, she is a life-long time Bruin. She graduated from UCLA College of Letters and Science in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in Psychobiology and from UCLA School of Medicine in 1994 with a medical degree. In 1997, she completed her residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA and later worked at UCLA in both Santa Monica and the Iris-Cantor UCLA Women's Health offices. As a result she is familiar with the unique needs of women of all ages and the complex and constantly changing interaction between hormones and a woman's mental and physical health. More »

He earned his medical degree from University of Minnesota, where he received awards for his research in liver diseases. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Yaroslav Gofnung, Endocrinology, Westlake Village Yaroslav Gofnung, MD

Dr. Yaroslav Gofnung earned his Bachelor's in Science from the University of Southern California (USC). He then continued on at USC for his Medical Degree, Internal Medicine residency as well as specialty training in Endocrinology. He received Board Certification in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. For the last six years, Dr. Gofnung was in private practice in North Hollywood and Tarzana practicing Endocrinology, treating hormone related disorders, before recently joining the UCLA Health.

Dr. Jenny Hu earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from UC Davis. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Masters of Public Health (MPH) degrees through a combined degree program at UCLA. She completed both her Dermatology residency and Procedural Dermatology fellowship (Mohs micrographic surgery, cosmetic dermatology) at UCLA as well, and has thoroughly enjoyed her time training at UCLA as she is very excited to stay on as faculty.

Dr. Huynh grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and received her medical degree from Boston University. After completing a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine, she went on to complete additional training in Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Diseases from Yale University.

Dr. Huynh's clinical interests include the treatment of coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, prevention of heart disease, the treatment of claudication due to peripheral vascular disease, women's health, and angioplasty and coronary and peripheral stenting. Dr. Roman Leibzon pursued his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine. Dr. Leibzon returned to Los Angeles to complete his internal medicine internship and residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Leibzon completed his cardiology fellowship, and interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine.

Dr. Leibzon is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Leibzon has been practicing interventional cardiology in the San Fernando Valley since 2005. Dr. William Martin grew up in Washington State. He attended the College of William and Mary in Virginia. Upon graduation, Dr. Martin was a Peace Corps volunteer in Tanzania for two years where he taught high school chemistry and biology.  Later Dr. Martin attended medical school at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science / Chicago Medical School, in North Chicago, Illinois, graduating in 2006.

Dr Merchant worked as a private practice hospitalist in Southern California for three years after completing her residency in Internal Medicine at UCSF-Fresno in 2007. She then pursued a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Over the course of her fellowship, she has gained significant experience in managing patients with advanced lung disease, including transplant, chronic obstructive lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and interstitial lung disease. She is currently a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at David Geffen- UCLA School of Medicine. She is also a member of American College of Chest Physician (ACCP) and American Thoracic Society (ATS). Dr. Leena Nathan specializes in comprehensive care for women including well-woman visits, obstetrics, and gynecology/gynecologic surgeries. Her focus lies in promoting the well being of women of all ages ranging from adolescence through menopause. She also believes strongly in patient empowerment through communication. Dr. Nathan's favorite part of being a doctor is helping women have healthy pregnancies and deliveries.

She received her undergraduate education at University of California, San Diego and her medical degree from Stanford University. She first completed a family medicine residency at Kaiser Woodland Hills and is boarded in family medicine. Dr. Ranoo Sabnis grew up in a small town in central Pennsylvania and graduated with honors with a degree in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree at University of Pittsburgh and trained in obstetrics and gynecology at Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Sabnis served as chief resident and continued on as a faculty member after graduation.

Dr. Sabnis and her husband, a neonatologist, moved to Southern California in 2012 and joined UCLA. She enjoys providing comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care for women of all ages.
