Dr. Aarthi Arasu, Endocrinology, UCLA South bay Endocrinology office. Aarthi Arasu, MD

Dr. Arasu earned her medical degree and completed her Internal Medicine residency at UCLA.  She went on to do her endocrinology fellowship at UCSF. During that time, she spent extensive time doing research in osteoporosis with world-renowned experts in the field. Dr. Arasu enjoys travelling and trying new restaurants in her free time.

Dr. Dianne S. Cheung, Endocrinology, UCLA South bay Endocrinology office. Dianne S. Cheung, MD, MPH

Dr. Cheung was born and raised in Orange County, California and is 4th generation Asian American. She did her undergraduate work at UCLA where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and was awarded Magna Cum Laude honors. She went on to purse a Masters in Public Health in Health Education and Health Policy at UCLA, where she was also awarded the distinction of Highest Honors. She completed her medical school training at UC San Diego School of Medicine in 2004, and completed her residency training at White Memorial Medical Center/Loma Linda University in Los Angeles where she was Chief Resident in Internal Medicine.  More »

Dr. John Tsao, Endocrinology, UCLA South bay Endocrinology office. John Tsao, MD 

Dr. John M. Tsao was born in Geneva, Switzerland and moved to the Los Angeles area as a child. He attended Loyola High School in Los Angeles. Dr. Tsao attended UCLA and received his B.A. in Zoology in 1956. He graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska in 1960 and interned at LA County/USC Medical Center. This was followed by a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in Endocrinology. More »

Kelly Lunzer, PA Kelly Lunzer, PA
Kelly Lunzer is a board certified Physician Assistant. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and later went on to pursue her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She completed her Master’s program in 2006 from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Before joining the UCLA healthcare system, Kelly had several years of experience in the field of endocrinology. She is knowledgeable in the latest diabetic technology and is able to provide trainings for insulin pump therapy, as well as continuous glucose monitoring.
Elizabeth Hunter, RN, BSN, CDE Elizabeth Hunter, RN, BSN, CDE
Elizabeth Hunter is a Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She spent the first part of her career as a UCLA Medical ICU nurse, new grad preceptor, and charge nurse. She transitioned to the outpatient setting to further her passion for helping patients with diabetes. She provides one-on-one customized diabetes education and group classes to adults with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, secondary diabetes and women with diabetes in pregnancy. She is a certified insulin pump trainer and assists patients with continuous glucose monitoring. She is fluent in Spanish and specializes in holistic, patient-centered care.
