Leena Nathan, MD - UCLA Health OBGYN Westlake Village. Leena Nathan, MD

Dr. Leena Nathan received her undergraduate education at University of California, San Diego and medical degree from Stanford University. She is board certified in family medicine and first completed a family medicine residency at Kaiser Woodland Hills before completing a four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UCLA.

Dr. Nathan specializes in comprehensive care for women including well-woman visits, obstetrics, and gynecology/gynecologic surgeries. Her focus lies in promoting the well being of women of all ages ranging from adolescence through menopause. She also believes strongly in patient empowerment through communication. Dr. Nathan's favorite part of being a doctor is helping women have healthy pregnancies and deliveries.

She enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also a local physician, and her two young children as well as her yellow labrador.

 

   
Ranoo Sabnis, MD - UCLA Health OBGYN Westlake Village. Ranoo Sabnis, MD

Dr. Ranoo Sabnis grew up in a small town in central Pennsylvania and graduated with honors with a degree in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree at University of Pittsburgh and trained in obstetrics and gynecology at Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Sabnis served as chief resident and continued on as a faculty member after graduation.

Dr. Sabnis and her husband, a neonatologist, moved to Southern California in 2012 and joined UCLA. She enjoys providing comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care for women of all ages. In treating each woman as an individual, she strives to provide tailored and evidence based care to all of her patients to promote their optimal health and well being.

She enjoys baking, knitting, reading and spending time with her husband, son, and new baby girl. Dr. Sabnis returns to the practice from maternity leave in mid to late February.

 

   
Angela Valle, MD - UCLA Health OBGYN Westlake Village. Angela Valle, MD

Dr. Angela Valle grew up in the San Joaquin Valley and received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University. She obtained her medical degree from Albany Medical College where she discovered her passion for women’s healthcare. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center, where she served as chief resident before joining UCLA. She provides comprehensive healthcare to women and especially enjoys guiding, supporting and educating them through pregnancy and childbirth.

Dr. Valle is passionate about providing comprehensive healthcare to all women, and especially enjoys guilding, supporting and educating them through pregnancy and childbirth. She believes it is a privilege to see women through some of the most exciting and, sometimes stressful, times in their lives.

When not busy at work, she enjoys reading, running, and trying new recipes and restaurants.

 Daniel A. Kahn, MD, PhD

Dr. Kahn is an assistant professor in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He received his medical degree from the UC San Diego School of Medicine and completed his OB/GYN internship and residency at UCLA. His research interests are in preeclampsia, immune tolerance and autoimmunity.

 Ramamohan Rao, MD

Dr. Ramamohan Rao earned his medical degree at Mysore Medical College in India. After moving to the United States, he held an internship at New York University Downtown Hospital and completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at New York University-Bellevue Medical Center.

Dr. Rao has more than 30 years of experience as a board certified OB/GYN, with vast experience in gynecological surgeries and obstetrics. He assists our team in surgeries and deliveries.

   
 Mousa Shamonki, MD - UCLA Health OBGYN, Reproductive Endocrinology

Mousa Shamonki, MD

Dr. Shamonki received his medical degree and obstetrics OB/GYN residency training at the University of Vermont. He completed his reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at Cornell University, after which he joined Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey for one year to refine his IVF-related techniques. In 2006 Dr. Shamonki joined UCLA and, as Director of In Vitro Fertilization and Assisted Reproduction, developed the UCLA IVF Program into one of the nation's premier IVF Center. Dr. Shamonki has published numerous papers and has won several awards, including the Carbee Award for excellence in obstetrics and gynecology, the Patients' Choice Award and America's Top Doctors Award.

In his words- "I had the great fortune of growing up learning about reproductive medicine through the eyes of my father, Dr. Issa Shamonki, who was one of the pioneers in the field. Each day I would see him come home from work happy and fulfilled, having done his best for each and every patient while demonstrating warmth, kindness and attention to detail.  Christopher Tarnay, MD - UCLA Health OBGYN, Reproductive Endocrinology

Christopher Tarnay, MD

Dr. Christopher Tarnay is a urogynecologist and the Division Chief in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. The division provides a full spectrum of urogynecologic care to women experiencing bladder and pelvic floor problems. Dr. Tarnay specializes in both surgical and behavioral therapies with an emphasis on a compassionate and tailored approach to women's health care.

Dr. Tarnay has extensive experience and offers many options in the treatment of urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, and pelvic organ prolapse including: suburethral slings, urethral bulking therapy, and advanced vaginal reparative surgery with ability to incorporate the latest advances in minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Tarnay is also a leader in robotic surgery for the treatment of prolapse and fibroid care with emphasis on uterine and fertility preservation.
