At the UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT Program, our goal is to establish the world’s most advanced diagnostic and treatment program for athletes who have suffered concussions as well as non-sports related head injuries.
We are the leaders in concussion care and education, that’s why we have created the nation’s first Pediatric Sports Neurology Fellowship Program that will train the world’s best physicians to treat sport concussions in young athletes.
The Tisch BrainSPORT Program focuses on the following areas:
Our Concussion Clinic is one of few in the country fully staffed by a multidisciplinary team of neurologists and neuropsychologists.
We treat many types of patients including those who sustained a non-sports related concussion, children up to 25 years of age, collegiate and professional athletes.
The UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT Concussion Champions CME Course is designed to increase concussion care and quality for youth the in the Greater Los Angeles community. This course provides hands-on interactive training to help providers standardize and implement evidence-based concussion diagnostic and treatment practices for their patients.
The Concussion Champions Program is a half day course that educates community healthcare providers who will serve as the lead physician for diagnosing and treating sport-related concussions at their community practice. Participants will walk away with the tools they need to provide the highest level of concussion care including: templates, forms educational materials, and guidance for properly treating patients.
