Paul C Adamson, MD, MPH

Dr. Paul Adamson is an Infectious Diseases physician and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He sees patients at the UCLA CARE Center, where he specializes in the treatment and prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). His research focuses on improving the diagnosis and treatment of STIs in global health settings, with an emphasis in antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea. He also participates in a variety of COVID-19 related research and advocacy projects.

Dr. Adamson received his medical degree from the UC San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Yale – New Haven Hospital/Yale University School of Medicine. He completed fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at UCLA. His received his undergraduate and Master’s in Public Health degrees from UC Berkeley.

He grew up in Northern California, but is now thoroughly enjoying life in Southern California. Outside of work, he enjoys running, trying new restaurants, and baking sourdough bread.

Dr. Adamson is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
