The UCLA Laser Refractive Center is at the forefront of new discoveries in refractive surgery. The Center was the first in Los Angeles to use an FDA-approved excimer laser to correct myopia (PRK and LASIK). Today, our patients benefit from advanced techniques such as custom LASIK, custom LASEK/PRK, accommodative multifocal and phakic intraocular lenses (IOLs), intracorneal ring implants (INTACS) and astigmatic keratotomy (AK). We are able to treat a wide range of refractive errors including myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), presbyopia, astigmatism and keratoconus. Since its inception, the UCLA Laser Refractive Center has provided care for over 20,000 patients
