UCLA’s Laser Refractive Center offers superior vision correction in a patient-centered environment. Access to established and pioneering technologies for a wide range of refractive errors enables faculty doctors to optimize results by meeting each patient's individual needs.
The Center is at the forefront of new discoveries in refractive surgery, and was the first in Los Angeles to use an FDA-approved excimer laser to correct myopia (PRK and LASIK). Today, our patients benefit from advanced techniques such as custom LASIK, custom LASEK/PRK, astigmatic keratotomy (AK), SMILE, corneal inlays, and other services. We are able to treat a wide range of refractive errors including myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), presbyopia, astigmatism and keratoconus. Since its inception, the UCLA Laser Refractive Center has provided care for thousands of patients.
