Participating in a support group may improve your patients’ emotional well-being and have a positive impact on their health by offering an opportunity to connect with others facing similar experiences, obtain practical information, and receive support. The group supports patients and caregivers by sharing resources and information, and working on behalf of patients. Support groups also can be a valuable resource for caregivers, family members and friends.
A support group should not replace treatment. This group supports patients and caregivers through every step of their experience with interstitial lung disease by sharing resources and information, and working on behalf of patients.
