The Adolescent Epilepsy Center at UCLA enables access to specialized multi-disciplinary services that will provide complementary care to our current UCLA epilepsy patient population within the age range of 11-22 years old.
The clinic serves established patients within the UCLA health system with an epilepsy diagnosis as well as patients with a secondary diagnosis such as, anxiety, depression/behavior problems, autism/autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, ADD, intellectual/learning disability, developmental delay, and mental retardation. Our goal is to enhance the care for adolescent epilepsy patients as they transition from Pediatrics to Adult specialty care.
The Adolescent Epilepsy Center at UCLA brings together different disciplines to provide integrated care for our patients. Beginning with Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology/Epilepsy, the center will include Child Psychiatry, Internal Medicine and Adult Neurology/Epilepsy. Dietary services and Social Workers will be involved as well as UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center.
