Education & Training

Welcome to the UCLA Department of Medicine (DoM) Education and Training webpage!  I am pleased to share with you information about our exceptional training programs in the DoM.  Our goal is to attract outstanding, diverse and motivated learners from across the country and to provide them with well-rounded and world-class training to prepare them for careers as outstanding physicians, scientists and future leaders of internal medicine.

We are very proud of our educational portfolio and we are home to some of the most highly ranked training programs in the country.  The UCLA DoM is home to 4 core residency programs, 22 ACGME-accredited fellowship programs, and over a dozen non-ACGME advanced career training opportunities.  Common threads among all of our training programs are a spirit of inquiry, diversity of patients, sites and trainees, and perhaps above all else, inclusiveness and collaboration.  Despite our size, the educational leaders in our department are a collaborative and supportive family of educators who not only develop curriculum for their respective programs, but importantly have cultivated a culture of comradery, curiosity, humility, commitment to excellence and care of each other.

I invite you to learn more about our remarkable training programs as you navigate through this website.
