Dr. Hoftman is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology at UCLA. After earning a BA in Biology at Northwestern University, Dr. Hoftman attended medical school at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric internship, residency, and pediatric rheumatology fellowship at UCLA. After graduation, she worked at CHOC Children's for a few years, then returned to UCLA in 2011. Dr. Hoftman is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Rheumatology.

Dr. Hoftman takes care of pediatric patients under 18 years of age with pediatric rheumatologic diagnoses and concerns, such as evaluation of abnormal serum antibodies, as well as chronic musculoskeletal pain and swelling. Dr. Hoftman's interests lie in the diagnosis and treatment of general pediatric rheumatologic conditions, such as juvenile arthritis, lupus, Sjogren's disease, dermatomyositis, scleroderma, Raynaud's syndrome, vasculitis, periodic fevers, chronic osteomyelitis, uveitis, sarcoidosis, Behcet's, psoriatic arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease-associated arthropathy. Though she does not specialize in connective tissue disorders such as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Dr. Hoftman is familiar with the spectrum of these conditions. Dr. Hoftman is also an active team member of the California Children's Services (CCS) pediatric rheumatology clinic, as well as the Pediatric Dysautonomia/Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) Multidisciplinary Clinic. As part of the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) consortium, Dr. Hoftman helps interested patients participate in the national registry and research endeavors.
