About

Dr. Faysal Saab received his undergraduate degree in Psychobiology at UCLA and his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He then completed a combined Internal Medicine & Pediatrics residency at UCLA, and was subsequently selected to serve as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine.

Currently, he is Assistant Clinical Professor in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, whereby he specializes in hospital medicine, taking care of both adults and children hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center. He is heavily invested in medical education, regularly supervising and teaching teams of medical students and residents during their inpatient clerkships, as well as serving as a core instructor in the Foundations of Practice course at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

He is the Associate Director of the Internal Medicine Global Health Pathway, and since 2012 has taught and practiced at UCLA partner sites in Lilongwe, Malawi. He recently completed Doctors Without Borders’ Global Health and Humanitarian Medicine Program and obtained his Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.

His other clinical interests include point-of-care ultrasound, medical simulation training, and teaching about cognitive biases in medicine. He is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and family-centered care to his patients.
