David Eisenman, MD, MSHS, is a professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has a joint appointment at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health where he directs the Center for Public Health and Disasters. Dr. Eisenman is also an Associate Natural Scientist at RAND. Dr. Eisenman lives and surfs in Marina del Rey, California.
Dr. Eisenman received a 1 million dollar award from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to help public health departments across southern California develop evidence based programs in disaster preparedness. He has also received a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to build a website for community resilience building. It will launch in March, 2017. Please visit www.communityresiliency.net
