Dr. Evelyn Curls grew up in the Los Angeles area and attended Harvard-Westlake High School before going on to receive her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California. She obtained her Doctorate in Medicine while also receiving her Masters of Business Administration at UCLA. Before starting her residency training she worked as a consultant for Johnson & Johnson both domestically and abroad in Narobi, Kenya and Accra, Ghana. She served as a business consultant for HIV clinics helping them to improve their operations and funding though establishing microfinance ventures. More »

Dr. Terence Hammer was raised in Oak Park, Illinois, the hometown of Ernest Hemingway and Frank Lloyd Wright. As Board-Certified Family Physician, he has practiced in the South Bay since 1977 and has many families with multiple generation patients in his practice. Dr. Hammer enjoys working with patients and attending to their preventative and planned health maintenance. Based on decades of experience, he is dedicated to finding answers for complicated and serious health problems. Dr. Jason Hove, a Manhattan Beach native, earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and completed his Family Medicine internship and residency at UCLA. He is a former Mira Costa Mustang who participated on multiple high school athletic teams including football, basketball and track & field, before going on to play football at Harvard University where he received his undergraduate degree. Dr. Jennifer Logan grew up in southern Virginia but has always loved Southern California and made it her goal to one day settle in the South Bay. She is thrilled to join UCLA Health. She first obtained her undergraduate degree in Molecular Psychobiology at the State University of New York in Binghamton where she graduated summa cum laude and was honored with the prestigious Award for Student Excellence. She completed her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed her Family Medicine Residency at UCLA. More »

Dr. Sandra Vizireanu was born in the beautiful beach city of Constanta, Romania and moved to Westlake Village, California at the age of 8. The first physician in a family of engineers, she graduated with BA degrees in Integrative Biology and Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, then received her MD from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia. Returning to Los Angeles to be with her family, she completed her residency in Family Medicine at the UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica. Following graduation, she worked with Emergent Medical Associates gaining extensive experience in emergency and urgent care medicine. More »

Dr. Cho attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received his bachelor of science in cell and structural biology with a minor in chemistry. He received his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School and then completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at UCLA. He continued at UCLA with his gastroenterology fellowship training. Dr. Cho joined the faculty at UCLA in 2008 upon completion of his fellowship training as a clinician educator. Dr. Marian Kaldas is a Southern California native and has been part of the UCLA family since her high school years when she won a scholarship for doing over 1000 hours of hospital volunteering. She received her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at UCLA, her medical degree from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and completed her internship, residency and fellowship in Rheumatology all with UCLA. She joined the UCLA Faculty practicing Rheumatology and Hospitalist medicine and is now excited to join UCLA Health practicing Rheumatology full-time. More »

Dr. Anabella Pascucci was born in Argentina, then moved with her family to the South Bay and went on to graduate as Valedictorian from West Torrance High School. She then earned her Bachelor's degree in biological sciences from UC Irvine, and migrated a little north to study medicine and receive her MD at UC Davis. Dr. Pascucci completed her Dermatology residency training at UC Davis as well, serving as Chief Resident during her last year in training.
