The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA provide psychiatric services for patients with acute mental illness. We offer an active treatment program that serves as a transition from or alternative to inpatient hospitalization.

PHP and IOP are group-based, voluntary programs that support individuals in their recovery with the goal to assist patients in achieving the highest level of independence and functioning in the community. Our treatment program is time-limited and offers intensive, coordinated and structured clinical services within a safe and stable therapeutic environment.
