Veronica Ramirez, MD

Dr. Veronica Ramirez is a hospitalist and clinical lead for the UCLA Downtown Hospitalist Cohort (serving Barlow Respiratory Hospital, California Hospital Medical Center, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital). She is board certified in internal medicine, and she is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys treating acute complex medical problems, advocating for the health of her patients, and coordinating care with other providers in the inpatient setting.

Dr. Ramirez received her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. She completed her internship and residency training in internal medicine at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University.

Dr. Ramirez enjoys teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. In addition to her own direct patient care, she serves as an attending on the inpatient medicine wards at Olive View+University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. She is also a faculty tutor for the second-year medical students during Block 9 of the Problem-Based Learning curriculum. She volunteers as a supervising attending at the UCLA Mobile Clinic Project in Santa Monica.

In addition to her clinical and teaching duties, Dr Ramirez is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
