Ambereen K. Mehta, MD, MPH is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Palliative Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and her fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the National Institutes of Health.
After completing her training, she joined the faculty at the University of Virginia as an assistant professor in the Palliative Care division. There, she was the Associate Fellowship Director of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship and Assistant Medical Director for the inpatient hospice unit.
She was recruited to UCLA in 2018 where she is a part of the inpatient palliative care consult service. She also sees patients in the multidisciplinary amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) clinic as a neuropalliative specialist.
She is a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and American College of Physicians.
