Bill Stahlberg is a board-certified physician assistant who works with Dr. Edward McPherson out of the Santa Monica orthopedic office. In addition to assisting with orthopedic surgeries, he sees adult post-operative patients who recently had a reconstructive hip, knee or shoulder total joint arthroplasty, endofusion or complex revision arthroplasty. His past experience includes general orthopedics, sports injuries and acute fracture management. He is also a clinical preceptor for physician assistant students.
Mr. Stahlberg earned his Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Pacific University in Oregon in 2002. He has more than 25 years of surgical experience. He has served in the US Public Health Service and Army Reserve for about 30 years with multiple deployments. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, he spent more than a decade as an Army medic and surgical technician.
Mr. Stahlberg is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, California Academy of Physician Assistants and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery.
Mr. Stahlberg is an avid sports fan. When he’s not working, he enjoys bow hunting, trout fishing and coaching youth sports teams. He also volunteers with various mission organizations providing care internationally.
