Dr. Bernacki received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-MIlwaukee. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at UCLA in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences and her postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Bernacki is a Staff Psychologist in the Department of Medicine and has been working in integrated primary care since 2013. She has served as the primary psychologist for the UCLA Gender Health Program since it was founded in 2016. Her clinical and research interests include: delivering evidence-based behavioral health services in primary care, providing affirming care to gender diverse children, adolescents, and adults; and assisting youth in transitioning from pediatric to adult health care.
