Dr. Janet Ma is a Clinical Instructor in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at UCLA. After spending eight years on the East Coast for college and medical school, she decided to return to Southern California where she grew up for residency. She then joined the clinical faculty of UCLA in 2012 and works regularly with residents and medical students.
Her clinical interests include preventive and primary care of all patients from newborns to geriatrics, women's health, transition care, and whole person care. She also has a strong interest in underserved and international medicine having participated in medical missions trips to El Salvador, Malawi, China, Italy, Guatemala, and Mexico as well as volunteered at multiple free clinics. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, and swimming. She speaks English, Spanish, Cantonese Chinese, and some basic Mandarin Chinese.
