He was recruited to UCLA Head and Neck Surgery to provide fellowship-trained surgery to address the full spectrum of tumors of the skull base, sinuses, craniomaxillofacial skeleton, tongue, throat, larynx (voicebox), thyroid, and parotid, as well as reconstruction of these areas.
Dr. Luu is actively involved in teaching trauma techniques to other physicians as a faculty member of AO North America, a premier and non-profit organization dedicated to the study of craniomaxillofacial trauma.
He is passionate about resident training and teaching advanced surgical techniques. He won the otolaryngology department's distinguished "Best Full-Time Faculty Member" award each of his first two years at UCLA.
