The Breast Pathology Service is an integral component of the UCLA Breast Center Santa Monica, which emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with breast disease. Our team of breast pathologists has extensive experience in accurately diagnosing all types of breast specimens. We are supported by the full resources of the UCLA Department of Pathology that includes a large team of experienced, sub-specialty surgical pathologists. In addition, we have a full-service laboratory which provides analysis of breast prognostic markers including hormone receptors (estrogen and progesterone), HER-2/neu receptor, Ki67 (cell proliferation index) and other markers.
