CTU Prevention CAB

Prevention CAB members serve as community advisors to the following clinical trial networks: UCLA CARE Center (AIDS Clinical Trail Group - ACTG), UCLA Vine Street Clinic (HIV Prevention Trial Network - HPTN); AIDS Research Alliance (Vaccine Trial Network - VTN) and LA Bio Med - Harbor UCLA on all upcoming prevention and treatment clinical trials coming down the pipeline. The Prevention CAB meets quarterly in a central location (not always at UCLA), and the registered members receive a stipend to compensate them for their dedicated participation.

Prevention CAB members are not required to have an HIV diagnosis nor work directly for an AIDS Service Organization (ASO). In fact, our 15-member Prevention CAB is comprised of HIV positive and negative community leaders representing research organizations, advocacy groups and peer networks.

While membership applications for the Prevention CAB are now closed, we would love to have you join us at one of our upcoming meetings to see what the Prevention CAB is all about. We value your input and support.

When: Every Quarter - Check out our Calendar for specific dates and times
Where: Zoom
What: Prevention CAB meeting including research review, group discussion and community support. Compensation is provided to registered members for participation.
