The UCLA Center for Human Nutrition includes our basic science and clinical research facilities as well as direct patient care centers at the UCLA Clinical Nutrition Clinic and the UCLA Medical Weight Management Program (formerly RFO). Our research is focused on the role of nutrition and the naturally-occurring nutrients and phytochemicals in foods in the prevention and treatment of common diseases. Patients in the Clinical Nutrition Clinic are seen by physicians who specialize in nutrition to address a variety of nutrition-related health concerns. The UCLA Medical Weight Management Program features a multidisciplinary team of experienced physicians, nurse practitioners, registered dietitians, clinical psychologist and therapists to implement dietary, physical activity and behavioral lifestyle changes and promote healthy weight management long-term.
In order to continue to conduct our research in nutrition that we can then translate to direct patient care, donations are greatly appreciated. For more information on how to support the Center for Human Nutrition, please contact Laurel Zeno, senior director of development, at 310-825-1980 or [email protected].
