What does direct physician supervision require?Direct supervision requires physician’s presence within the suite of a physician office or immediately available in a hospital clinic/floor. Immediate availability dictates physician’s ability to supervise and respond immediately to perform needed physician services. This means that the physician can interrupt the activity the physician is involved in and respond to perform needed services. Cardiac Rehab and Infusion services are examples of a hospital setting required supervision. Incident-to services are examples of a physician office setting. | |
